Most likely made between 1907 and 1911, the Antique Platts Brothers Cutlery Large Straight Razor has a jigged bone handle with brass pins and pinned nickel silver shield. The tang stamp reads "Platts Bros. Cutlery Co. Andover, N.Y." It's in excellent condition for the age of the knife. The handles are in great shape. The carbon steel blade has formed a bit of patina. It most likely has been both used and sharpened. There might be minor pitting but there are no signs that it has been reworked.
