X15 T.N STEEL yields the edge holding ability and cutting power of other steels but provides the added bonus of superior corrosion resistance. The difference? A percentage of carbon is substituted for nitrogen during the primary melting process. The steel is slowly heated to more than 1900ºF and then cooled down to -110ºF for optimum hardness. This new process results in a finer, uniform carbide structure.
