Ancient Finds! Authentic Relics!
At the last Tucson Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show, Chase Pipes made the trade of a lifetime that will benefit all our fossil collecting friends. Fossil fish quarrier David Lindgren wanted a Clovis point for his collection. Chase had just the one David wanted, but David was cash challanged at that particular moment. Sitting on the back of David's pickup, Chase noticed a good number of partial fish fossils. He picked out the best partials from the pile, laid the Clovis point on the tailgate beside them and asked David if he was willing to trade. Dave agreed with a smile! This set includes one unprepped whole fish fossil and two fish halves (either a head, tail or "exploded" piece), all from the Eocene Period, 37 to 54 million years old. They were dug from Dave's quarry in the Green River Formation, Kemmer, Wyoming.
