Bill Moran is one of the most sought after cutlery smiths in America. His waiting list for a custom made piece exceeds 20 years. He is the father of the modern Damascus steel and founder of the American Bladesmith's Society. The FB01 has an upswept blade shape in VG-10 stainless in a scalpel-like flat grind. This featherweight makes a phenomenal camp utility knife and/or hunting companion. The FRN handle has rubbery Kraton® inserts. This is a decided bonus in the field when hands are frequently soaked, numb or gloved. Encased in a Concealex® sheath, the featherweight is equipped with a 6 position TekLok® fastening system. Riding comfortably on clothing, a belt or pack, the TekLok® can be worn in the following carry positions: Vertically, horizontally, inverted, cross-draw, open, or in the small of your back.
