The new Boker® Leopard Damascus III: The third generation of the high performance Damascus steel forged out of the barel of the German battle tank Leopard I. For the first time Boker's® Damascus forger welds two more steels with the battle tank steel. The extremely hard to treat material is then pattern welded with over 300 layers to create the handmade blade with a remarkable Damascus structure. The result is a hardness of 61-63° HRC and superior cutting capablities. The handle is made of CNC machined AlMgSi1 aluminum and is hardcoat-anodized, contrasting nicely with the Grenadil wood inserts. Completely handmade in the Boker® factory in Solingen, Germany.
